Our Status

Currently this is our status. We are not yet founded and no papers have been filed. We need to establish who we are and what we plan to offer.

The following is our hypothetical goal points.

Mission Statement: The Second Chances Foundation is dedicated to empowering individuals with criminal records to successfully reintegrate into society, providing them with the tools, support, and opportunities needed for a brighter future.

Goals and Objectives:

  1. Rehabilitation and Training: We Want to provide comprehensive rehabilitation and skill development programs to help individuals acquire job-ready skills.

  2. Employment Assistance: Offer job placement services, resume-building workshops, and interview preparation to facilitate stable employment.

  3. Legal Support: Provide legal aid and guidance to help individuals navigate expungement and record-sealing processes.

  4. Mental Health and Counseling: Offer mental health services and counseling referrals.

  5. Community Engagement: Organize community outreach events to foster acceptance, reduce stigma, and encourage support for reintegration.

Programs and Services: The Following are our goal points for services we want to offer. The year after the item is when we want to have that completed.

  1. Reentry Training (2023): Job training, soft skills development, financial literacy, and mentorship programs.

  2. Legal Aid (TBD): Assistance with expungement, record-sealing, and navigating the legal system. We realize this will involve legal referrals to actual law firms. If you know of any. Reach out.

  3. Employment Services (2023): Resume building, interview skills, and job placement assistance.

  4. Mental Health Support (2024): Counseling and support groups to address emotional and psychological challenges.

  5. Community Events (2024): Workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns to build a supportive community.

Funding and Sustainability:

  • We plan to seek out grants and donations to officially found our non profit.
  • Host fundraising events and campaigns in the local community.
  • Partner with local businesses for job placements and support.

Evaluation and Impact:

  • Regularly assess the number of individuals successfully reintegrated into society. We will be publishing all of our evaluation data online for public review. We plan to be a no hidden elements non profit.
  • Track employment rates, recidivism reduction, and community engagement.

Staffing:

  • We are in need of volunteers to help with every aspect. Please reach out if you are interested.

Marketing and Outreach:

  • Social media presence, community events, and collaboration with local media outlets.
